Briefing Note – Agriculture Canadian Fertilizer sector
Paper details: QUESTION As a Senior Program Officer, you have been tasked with writing a briefing note to your Director General. In the briefing note, you should identify and thoroughly explain an issue affecting either the Canadian Fertilizer or Canadian Grains sector. You have also been tasked with recommending and thoroughly explaining potential options to address the issue, using existing Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada programs Within the briefing note: • Please include a rationale as to why the recommended options are applicable. • Please include both the benefits and limitations to using the program(s) you selected. • Provide a one (1) page Annex that summarizes the current status of the Canadian Fertilizer or Grains sector as a whole (depending the sector you used in the briefing note) . o Please ensure that your one (1) page Annex also contains a list of the sources used for the sector analysis. The Briefing Note should be prepared using Microsoft Word, single space, Arial 11 font and should be approximately 4 to 5 pages in length (including the annex). You will not be evaluated on your briefing note format, however, please ensure that your briefing note contains key sections including (but not limited to): Background, Considerations, Options, Recommendatioaqwns and Annex (with sources).
