This is someone I have actually just met recently within this year. I actually don’t have many friends or know many that have other gender preferences. It is not because I have anything against them but more that I have not had the opportunity to get involved with.
This is someone that has been a guy since they were very young and is currently in their 30’s so definitely a while. It was definitely something that opened my eyes in a different way, as I found out details that I never knew of them. However this made me only respect them more for their decisions and for telling me the details. She was 12 years old when she suffered from sexual abuse from a family member that she never open up about. As usual she was scared no one believed her and would be doubted especially growing up in a hispanic household. A few years after when she began high school she knew it was not guys that she was interested in, rather only women. Although she could blame this on her trauma when she was a young girl, she decided not to focus too much on that. Decided she would tell her parents and family/friends about it.
